Cash Management Officer – Regional Route

Responsibilities

• Ensure daily “Regional Route Drivers” Banking deposits are reconciled with Oracle receipt information (coming from the AS400). Appropriate follow-up on partial banking/errors and escalate to Cash Management Accountant
• Ensure reconciliations investigations occur from both a Banking and Remitted side, and the Route Escalation Database is used in order to identify loads for which banking has not occurred in a timely manner
• Regular and timely production of the Unbanked Loads Report, and ensuring it is distributed to the “District Service Coordinators” or individual contractors for follow up
• Charge delivery contractors for failure to bank money in a timely manner
• Any error in deposit or referencing error made by Westpac or Driver to be escalated to parties at fault for follow up
• Ensure all drivers posses and utilise their individual deposit book and update the Driver Deposit Book Register and AS400 and orders actioned at the request of contract drivers
• Ownership and continual update of Regional Route documentation and processes to ensure they reflect current practices including Regional Route reconciliations, banking training materials, Escalation processes
• Provide over the phone or direct training of Drivers not adhering to correct banking practices, or new to company
• Ensure that all potential fraud cases are brought to attention of CM Accountant for advice and monitor future banking practices
• Customer Service – Internal and External communication via email/phone/fax/direct
• Complete adhoc tasks required by the Cash Management Accountant, for example assisting other team members in their roles and running reports from Business Objects/Info view
• Delegate and educate duties to Graduate and temporary staff
• Archive files for future reference
• Respond to queries (via email, mail or phone) in specified timeframe

Responsibilities

• Ensure all driver delivery loads received are settled, and cash and stock balanced
